The first signs of Mimosa are here, brightening the Côte d’Azur with their vibrant yellow pompoms! 💛
Although it is tempting to think it is the return of sunny days we are not out of winter yet! Large quantities are grown on the hills surrounding my home and it is beautiful to walk through the forests, the scent is extraordinary!

January brings a calm after the frenzy of Christmas - a quiet moment in the flower world. I take the time to reset, reflect, and plan for the year ahead. I’ll be checking my vases, hunting for bargains in the January sales, and tackling those last candle holders I guiltily put away still full of wax!

May in the south of France is probably my favorite month. Grasse is the home of the world renowned perfume houses and the hills are full of rose de mai. They are just starting to flush and my little garden is bursting with life. The light is soft and the air is fresh and it is still possible to find parking spaces!! 😆

I’m back after two amazing weeks off. Surrounded by family and wilderness the perfect environment to decompress and recharge. The only problem now is trying to reconnect to the chaos of ´normal’ life without wanting to run away and do it all again!!

It’s been feeling like spring here in the south of France this weekend. The weeds are doing well in the garden so I’ve been soaking up some vitamin D whilst getting them under control. It could still change though, we have been know to have snow in Grasse in February. I won’t be packing away my jumpers quite yet!
